Mrs. Henderson has worked at all levels of government – local, state, and federal governments. She has worked some of the United States most devastating disasters – Hurricanes-Katrina, Rita, Wilma, Gustav, Ike, Isaac, and SuperStorm Sandy as well as the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. She is an expert facilitator and trainer specializing in developing and reviewing hazard mitigation grants and community planning in disaster recovery operations. Mrs. Henderson has provided course development and training expertise to disaster workforce training projects as a Facilitator/Trainer. She has and continues to facilitate community disaster recovery, application development, grants management, and planning efforts in various states and countless communities. Mrs. Henderson trained and provided technical assistance to community officials. She also has extensive experience as an urban planner as it relates to community development with housing and revitalization through various federal programs. She has managed well over $1.5 million worth of grants through local governments from various federal funding sources. JOYCE HUNTER
EVENT COORDINATOR
Ms. Hunter garners several areas of expertise. As a Pharmacy Technician, Ms. Hunter assists licensed pharmacists with providing medication and other healthcare and healthcare-related products to patients. Ms. Hunter has served well over 10 years in customer service management within state government. Because customer service is the heart of what she does, Ms. Hunter shares an enthusiastic commitment in developing and obtaining key organizational goals such as training teams in handling complaints and creating resolutions. Continuing with her service-oriented nature, Ms. Hunter serves as a liaison between various departments within state government. These activities complement or rather balance her position as an auditor for one of the largest departments in state government. Part of Ms. Hunter’s responsibility is to ensure determinations are in compliance with state and federal regulations. However, Ms. Hunter has married her customer service- oriented nature with her roles as a liaison and auditor to cultivate her passion in event planning. She has successfully managed and planned events throughout the state which includes but are not limited to: empowerment workshops, training programs, and launch parties.

LANGANETTE HUNTER
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT/TREASURER
Ms. Hunter’s areas of expertise are finance and research data. Ms. Hunter skills are characterized, as many would say, precise and detail. Ms. Hunter has reconciled over $50 million in bond funds with multiple state agencies; in addition, to that, numerous treasury funds totaling over $100 million. She has also maintained a Grants Management Revolving Loan System. Ms. Hunter has created special reports for a multitude of the state’s governing bodies. She also accumulates bond transcripts and coordinates with the corresponding bond attorneys. Based upon the scope of grants and loans, she has an understanding of budgeting and finance. Additionally, Ms. Hunter has extensive networking connections that includes but is not limited to; attorneys, financial institutions, public entities, client companies, board members and the general public. She is a Notary Public and a member of the Alpha Beta Gamma International Business and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Societies.

SHAKARMA GREEN, MSL
BUSINESS FORMATION (FOR & NON-PROFIT) ADVISOR, PROJECT MANAGER
Ms. Green has an extensive background which includes contract, procurement, mitigation, and construction. This extensive background resulted over 15 years of experience in reading blueprints, bidding, and contracting where she obtained and utilized these skillset in her family’s construction business. On the federal level, Ms. Green served as a grant specialist where she reviewed the financials and eligibility of grant applications; reviewed project applications and performed financial activities in program closeout; supervised and allocated a prodigious budget of ($433 million) grant funding. Later gaining more experience with state agencies, Ms. Green duty as a program specialist was to assume the role of liaison between the state, providers, and the federal government. In that position, she provided education to reinforce regulations and programmatic policies. In addition to these universal skill set, she has knowledge in procurement and contracts by working for one of the largest vendors in the federal government. She has assisted in the development of for and non-profit organizations. Degrees includes: Associate in Technical Marketing, Bachelor of Administration in Marketing Management, and a Master of Science in Leadership. Ms. Green is family-oriented and loves to ensure everyone around her is happy and well. In all efforts, she manages to always take time for outreach.
